-Traveling

These boys have done so much in so little time. They have travelled the world, met many new people, have dedicated themselves to what they love. One only wishes to be able to accomplish so many things at such a young age. I've said this before but I'm proud of them. They work very hard. And yes, other celebrities work hard and do music and stuff. But in my heart it's different because I really care for them. Not as an obsessive girl, but as a dedicated fan. I like to see them smile with fans, be happy with them. One day things will change. One of them will want to break loose and become a solo artist. Not for a while though. And if they do I'll be ready because that's life. And they may not all make it, but they will forever leave their mark on this Ilvolover <3

-Happy Anniversary

Five years ago on May 17th, my boys were formed. With 'O sole mio, they captured the hearts of many, and started something unforgettable. So young, yet so talented. And to think, that it was just yesterday that I saw them on TV, bored. Those operatic voices swooped down on me. Making me fall in love. Il Volo has made me proud. I know that sounds weird since they don't have to prove anything to me, but originally they were basic to me. Not important. Especially since I was in my urban music stage. But they did the impossible. Made me appreciate something other than that. Something classy and sofisticated. Now that they're recording new things I'm super happy. There's plenty of Il Volo to come for a long long time. And I can't wait!

-Reward

I've been helping my uncle out in his new market since December. He didn't have to pay me because it wasn't really an official job but he gave me some cash weekly anyway. At first I spent it on girly things like lotions and scrubs. But a while back it hit me that if I had been more responsible and less girly I could have enough money for a new phone. I saved up for two months and was able to get an iPhone. Then I had to get covers to protect the phone. And what better cover than one with my loves on it. That's right. I bought an Il Volo phone case. The picture quality is amazing and I only spent like nine bucks on it. They look perfect. This was a reward that was highly needed. Below is the cover :)

-Working on new stuff

I'm ecstatic! Previously there were rumors that the boys were working on new projects, but now it's confirmed. They are recording again! On Instagram, Piero posted an image of him and Ignazio in the studio. While Il Volo Mundial Oficial posted a picture of the recording studio. This is great. I'm looking forward to hearing new things. New CD possibly means new tour. And I'll will be prepared for this one. I cannot let the opportunity slip by. Watching them perform is my dream. And it's only fair that I get to see them.

-Last week

Last week was an Il Volo filled week. On Monday I saw them perform on Sabado Gigante. On Thursday I saw them on the Latin billboards were they won their first award ever. On Sunday I saw them give an interview on TV. And throughout the week I saw many pictures of them on the social networks and their fun time here. They are just so lovely. They made my city so much better by just being present. Hopefully they'll be back. And soon!

-Back to Italy

My loves have spent a while in my city. And now they have been home in Italy for two days. I miss them already. Because even though they weren't with me, I still felt relieved that they were at least in the same city as me. I saw a small interview they did here before the left and they mentioned never having preformed in their country. Weird right? But soon, July I believe, they'll be sharing their love and talent with the place and people that have watched them grow up and become who they are. Can't wait til they're back.

-Congrats for Billboard

My babies won! They were awarded with Pop Artist of the Year Group. It was so exciting. And they were so happy. Especially Gianluca that practically hopped to the stage with a huge smile on his face. And it was acceptable to me because it's their first Latin Billboard. I'm so proud of them. They have worked very hard and have sacrificed a lot for five years now. Long live Il Volo!

-Successful Tuesday

Here's a picture of my venture with my loves yesterday. I didn't get to take a picture with them, touch them, or even speak to them, but they performed Mas Que Amor and chatted a bit with Don Francisco. It was cute. It was for less than five minutes, and part of the first show so I had to stay for the rest. But all in all, it was memorable :)

-Tomorrow, here I come

I am counting the hours. Anticipating the moment when I go to the studio to watch my lovelies perform. Only one song, but it's all I need. Today I'm doing my hair, yes very girly, but what do you expect. Anything can happen. What if I actually get to see them, take pictures, hug them? I need to look the part. I don't guarantee any pictures, because they may not allow me to, but I will keep you posted. If they allow me I'll say what they sang, how I felt, and what happened. Just thinking about it is giving me goosebumps. When I get home I'll lay out my outfit and get mentally prepared. Maybe even read up on some facts. I can't wait. Also, Piero posted a picture in Lincoln Road. How I wish I could have be there last night. I can't even :)

-They're on their way

They are officially flying to Miami now. They have the show on Tuesday and the Latin Billboards on Thursday. I can't wait :3 This will be an Il Volo filled week. I got called Friday with an hour change. Turns out they'll be performing later than expected but I honestly don't care. It could be midnight and I would still go. Just have to make sure my ride doesn't fall through. No ride, no Il Volo, and I'll be unhappy! But let's see. Stay positive.

-Less than a week

The awaited day is upon us. It is 6 days away and I'm looking foward to it. I anticipate getting there, sitting down, being only feets away from them. I really want to hear them. Not only for one song though. And I want to meet them, touch them. Take pictures with them so I can relive the moment over and over. Sucks that it's only for one performance and that I have to sit to watch the rest of the program. I only want to see them! But that's the price I pay.

-I might be going

On my last post I mentioned how they were coming down to be on Sabado Gigante. Well, I asked my aunt and cousin if they'd go with me and said yes. I called today to reserve my spot. I don't want to get to exited because anything can happen. And they'll only be on one segment out of five. But the stage and small and close and at least I'd get to hear and see them perform. That'll be such a great day, if only for one song. If I got to hug and kiss them I'd die! :D

-Sabado Gigante

Sabado Gigante is a weekly show on Univision that airs every Saturday from 8 to 11. It's been going on for a really long time. Over 50 years, I believe. The Il Volo boys were on the show before, around the time when they became recognized for their Spanish songs. They performed "Hasta el Final". Sources say that they will be on Sabado Gigante again this month. I need more information because I would love to go see them. Entrance is free and it's near my town. The twitter page also gave the number to call and reserve the stop. I'll have to check my schedule, though, and see if anyone will accompany me. I'll keep you all posted.

-Milan

Ignazio posted on Twitter that they're traveling back to Milan. Recently they were in Venice. What a beautiful place.  I would love to go Italy at some point in my life. Visit the cities that watched my loves be born and raised. Visit the cities that they love so much. Also, enjoy the people and the environment. The settings, the stars, the new air. I would love it.

-Very social

The members of Il Volo are quite social. Not only with their fans in person, but also connecting with the fans that don't have the privilege of meeting them. I follow the three loves individually on the Instagram page. Along with fan pages. I liked them on Facebook and know they have Twitter accounts. I'm not a Twitter fan, so I don't have one. But on the fan pages, I see the kind of things they post on Twitter. They're young and loved. Always keeping their fans on the loop. Always humble. Always updating.

-Back to Italy

My sweeties are back in Italy. They enjoyed they're time in Russia and now are now resting at home. I believe the next time they perform it'll be here in the US. They sang with a famous and recognized Russian artist. They just keep expanding their relations with artists. I'm so proud.

Tuesday, April 1, 2014

-In Russia

They had a concert recently in Russia. By what I've read and the pictures I've seen, it was a total success. They are currently still there, hanging out, and taking pics for the fans. On the IlVoloMundialOfficial Instagram page, I'm kept very updated. With dates of their shows, how they've done, and what they're doing now. It's an awesome page. My stream gets filled with the info!

-Premios Juventud

My honeys are nominated for like three different awards for this Spanish ceremony. I have to go vote! They deserve this so much. It's been a great and exciting year for the boys. They need to be acknowledged for the awesome work they have done all year. And now with one tour being done and another beginning, they have demonstrated that they can fit in with the big boys. Hopefully they'll win, cause that means they'll come down to my city. And they'll actually appear. And I always watch it :)

-Q&A with Gianluca

CityBeatI know you were introduced to opera from family members growing up in Italy. How important is family tradition to you?
Gianluca Ginoble: My family is the most important thing because my Grandpa is my inspiration. It was him that introduced me to this kind of music. But I love others as well, like Michael Buble and Frank Sinatra. I love Opera, but I also I love other kinds of music too.

GG
: When I am home, I can’t wait to do another tour because this is now my life. For me, it is like funny work because this is my passion. I am doing what I love to do, but when I am on tour I can’t wait to come back to my house and my home because I miss the family, my Grandpa. My Grandma died six months ago and for me it was an amazing pain. He was very important for me.

CB: You guys are going to start a long tour being away from home. Is it hard being on the road being away from friends and family or what is the hardest part for you?To me family is the most important thing.
CBI am sorry to hear that. Are there any places on the tour in the United States that you are specifically looking forward to playing, the location or the venue?
GG: Yes, yes, yes. My favorite city is Los Angeles. New York as well, but Los Angeles is the city of the dreams and the star, the Walk of Fame, the Oscars. For me it is the best city.
CBWhat has been your rehearsal process for the tour? What has that been like for you?
GG: We have prepared with eight or nine hour rehearsals daily.
CBEvery day?
GG: Yes, because this is our first concert and we are preparing. When we have the soundcheck before the concert it is just 20 minutes or 30 minute,s so we have major rehearsals to get ready.
CBHow do you take care of your voices?
GG: Yes always, our voices are the most important thing.
CBDo you ever see the band crossing over to pop music or do you think you will stay with Opera?
GG: I don’t know. We are open to many things. We did an American tour and it was wonderful, amazing because there were teenagers everywhere and in the U.S., in Miami, Los Angeles, New York and this is beautiful because it was our goal and this is a dream come true.
CBWhere do you see yourself or the band in 10 more years?
GG: I don’t know. I hope all this can continue in this way but life is unpredictable.
CB: What is your favorite song to sing and perform?
GG: "Smile," a Charlie Chaplin song.
(Which is my favorite song of there's! I love him!)

-Il Volo Mix

Here are over 40 minutes of songs from Il Volo. Enjoy!

-Piero twin

There's this guy in my school that looks just like Piero. He has the glasses, the nose, the smile. Surprisingly I'm not into him as you think I should. He is super nice and cute, but nawh. He's not my type. Which is weird since I think Piero is my type. And if he is why isn't HE. It's funny but I guess no one can take Piero's place. The guy in my school has orange glasses though. Still works for him.

Monday, March 17, 2014

-Red Glasses

Piero famous look with the red glasses intrigues not only me, but people everywhere. Today, in fact, a friend of mine had some red shades on. Similar to Piero, but darker. I tried them on and took a picture. I felt so confident and good in them. I'm thinking of getting a similar pair before going away. Maybe real glasses and not just shades. Then I got a solo image of Piero wearing the glasses and put myself next to him. We look adorable! If I do say so myself. It's on the drawing board though. Not a sure thing.

-A Must See Performance.

Makes me melt every time. This is the video and song that made me think "Mhmm, they're not bad." And then the song came on and on in my head until I decided to look for it. Heard it like ten times that day until I learned it. Beautiful, just beautiful.

-Fun Interview

You can see how silly and pure they are. And maybe you can also see how Ignazio and Piero have a close relationship. There's always someone who's cocky and a loner, and I feel it's Gianluca. But I can't help but love him either way.

-Still no Florida

I'll be leaving soon to study. I'll remain in Florida but it would mean so much to me to see Il Volo perform before I go away from the city where I was raised. On another note, Gianluca bought a place in Los Angeles. Come on bro, buy one here. This city is popular and the fans love you so much. Anyway, I'm not too mad. I love them unconditionally. And they should come really soon!

-Popular Opinion

As you all know, I post about my likes and opinions about the boys. I started snooping around the internet for more professional thoughts about them. The following article is an excerpt from The New York Times. Published on 2011. To check out the whole article copy the link:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/02/arts/music/il-volo-the-teenage-italian-singers-go-on-tour.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

'No, not those Three Tenors. These were mere boys, baby-faced Italian teenagers calling themselves Il Volo and belting the red-sauce favorite “O Sole Mio” in front of projections of stained-glass windows. Channeling an unlikely mixture of Andrea Bocelli and the Jonas Brothers, the appearance capped a few months that brought them from “American Idol” to the morning talk shows to the final episode of “Entourage,” a circuit carefully designed to expose them to both mothers and daughters, PBS and MTV demographics, before their first North American tour, which arrives at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan on Monday.
In the NBC studio at Rockefeller Center, as the sleepy-eyed Gianluca Ginoble, 16, crooned the opening verse, and Piero Barone, 18, and Ignazio Boschetto, who turns 17 on Tuesday, released ringing high notes, Hoda Kotb, a “Today” co-host, put her hand on her heart and smiled wistfully behind the cameras.
“We are Il Volo,” Ignazio said at the end with a heavy accent and a dimpled grin. “It means ‘flight.’ Thank you for flying with us.”
After the taping Ms. Kotb towered over the boys in spiked heels. “Believe me, everyone’s going to come running,” she said. “They’re going to beat down the door.”
Arias for teenagers? That’s the theory, the crossover dream being masterminded by some of the most savvy executives in the music business: Jimmy Iovine, who helped turn Eminem and Lady Gaga into superstars; Ron Fair, who nurtured the careers of Christina Aguilera and the Black Eyed Peas; and Steve Leber, a management legend who worked with the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and AC/DC and has come out of pop retirement to try to make Il Volo explode.
The group inhabits the intersection of the Italian pop standard and the soaring power ballad, the same sweet spot that has carried performers like Mr. Bocelli and Il Divo to superstardom. The difference, of course, is age: theirs, and that of their potential audience. The success of a show like “Glee” has introduced the tantalizing possibility that genres like musical theater or, say, pop-opera can inspire screaming girls willing to buy concert tickets and T-shirts, as long as the interpreters are young and adorable.
“In the beginning all of us thought that because of their kind of music, the audience would be from 35 up,” said Tony Renis, the producer who discovered Il Volo, in a telephone interview from his home in Rome. “But now we realize that they can conquer the kids. The younger generation all over the world, they’re used to rap. They never had the chance to listen to this kind of music. But now Il Volo is spreading a new kind of feeling. They are conquering every age.”'

-New York

They're going to New York. Why can't I be there? It's going to be a nice concert with other artists. They're also probably going to Los Angels. I want them to come down so badly. My mom said I can see them if they come. I work now, so I can afford it myself. Yay! Even if I go alone, I'll enjoy it. I need to see them before I go. I'll keep y'all posted.

Monday, March 3, 2014

-The dates are up!

The Canadian/American summer tour dates are up. Now we know what day they're gonna be singing. No dates for Florida though. I'll keep you posted for that. I'll also try to post every date and location. Muaaa.

-More concerts in USA

They're coming back. I don't know for what reason. They don't have an album out or anything. They were scheduled to do a couple shows with other artists in New York. Now I've seen dates online about them coming down to other cities. Maybe performing solo. No word on Miami though. I missed my chance of seeing them last time. Now I will try very hard to go if they come. It's an experience you can't go without in a life time. One day I'll see them. And hopefully that day is soon.

-Baby pictures

Who doesn't love babies? You think these guys are cute, imagine years ago, when they were babies! Instagram keeps me updated with the nicest pictures. The latest image was of Gianluca at age three. The cutest thing ever! I imagine them those days. Growing up and flawless. I've seen pictures of Piero. Haven't seen enough of Ignazio. Il Volo <3

-Should be!

There's a Spanish award show today. Il Volo has like two nominations, I believe. But they aren't there :/ They're still taking some time off, hanging out with friends and family. I hope they win. Cause you still can even if you're not there. I'll be posting about it if they do. My babies deserve an award for best new artist or something. They've worked really hard and need to be recognized. Go il volo!

-Pray for Venezuela

With everything going on in Venezuela, a lot of celebrities have been asking for prayers for them. Il Volo is on board on this issue. They Tweet about the constant help that they need. With all the protests going on, they are concerned about their fans and the lives of the Venezuelens. They're so thoughtful. My thoughts go to Venezuela and it's people. Il Volo <3

-In Rome

The boos are in Rome. After becoming Il Volo, so many doors have opened for them. They took a picture with Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls and are writing about the Pope. Lucky guys. They are so awesome. I only wish to achieve such great heights in life.

-Happy Birthday Gianluca!

The smallest member of the group turns 19 today. He posted on Instagram how blessed he feels and how content he is with his life. From all the ilvolovers of the world, we would like to wish him a happy birthday, and many more years to come. We love you! I'm also grateful to have known loved him to wish him a happy birthday.

-Pictures

They're beautiful :)

-Ignazio Alone

Don't get me wrong, the guys are still together, but they work on separate projects. Ignazio recently worked with another guy from his hometown on a private concert. I have heard really good things about the performance and have seen pictures. I wonder what else they're working on. Gianluca and Piero are home, having a good time.

-Working with Il Volo

I had to work on the newspaper and what helped pass the time? Il Volo. I'm trying to get my teacher into it. Everyone actually. It was so relaxing to work listening to them. Like two hours flew by just hearing them. It was kind of funny though, cause my teacher kept changing the station, which was not cool. But eventually she let me.

Friday, January 10, 2014

-What'd you think?

So my teacher told me she flipped through the television yesterday and saw the Il Volo Takes Flight special. I got excited because that's what started it all for me. I had nothing to watch one day and saw them on there, looking so cute and talented. Back then I saw them as whatever, just cute. We should see them in class one day, or at least a clip. I promise it'd be worth it. It might even ignite another passion in class. We may discover another Il Volover.

-Princes in my heart

The ilvolomundialoficial Instagram page has named the boys princes. That's how much the fans love them. They're the princes of their Italian city and have brought a lot of fame to that area. The title is perfectly applicable. Anyway, my loves are perfect. They deserve all the best.

-Happy New Year

This is my mandatory post. I'm suppose to say Happy New Year and hope for a good new year! As this year begins, I can't wait for the school year to end. Class of 2014! This is so exiting. Last year brought me many joys and sorrows, but I'm happy I got done with it. So yeah, Happy New Year!
